UV DTF vs textile DTF vs sublimation

UV DTF, textile DTF and sublimation are three printing techniques often confused. They apply to different surfaces and serve different needs. Here is how to tell them apart.

The surfaces

Textile DTF goes on fabrics (cotton, polyester). Sublimation needs a light, mostly-polyester substrate. UV DTF targets hard, non-porous surfaces: glass, plastic, metal, wood.

Durability and application

Textile DTF withstands many washes on garments. Sublimation is embedded in the fiber and very durable on suitable textiles. UV DTF sticks cold, with no machine, and resists water and scratches on objects.
